On November 16, 2019 Ferndale Volunteer Fire Company members along with members from the American Red Cross conducted a campaign for smoke alarms in the area behind our station. Several members from both entities spent several hours walking from house to house checking to see if residents had working smoke detectors. During this time members visited approximately 200 residential homes and installed approximately 106 smoke alarms. Members also educated residents about Fire Safety.
If any residents missed our campaign and are interested in us coming to install a detector in your home, please contact Cliff Odendhal at firstname.lastname@example.org or the American Red Cross.
